Please join us on Tuesday, May 6th for a day of learning and engagement around academic freedom at VIU.
This free event is open to all members of the VIU community, but we are asking that you please register in advance. There will be four sessions to choose from including a plenary address and three more focused workshops delivered in a World Café style. Each session will be facilitated by Dr. Shannon Dea, Canadian academic and prominent author and speaker on academic freedom.
More information, including the schedule, can be found HERE. Please contact Dr. Kathleen Bortolin if you have questions or want to be even more involved.
Thank you for your support!

At VIU, we acknowledge the Snuneymuxw, Quw’utsun, Tla’amin, Snaw-naw-as and Qualicum First Nations and the ways in which our work and our lives are enriched by the knowledges and cultures of the Indigenous peoples of these lands on which we teach, learn, research, live and share knowledge.
