The VIUFA Status of Women Committee is honoured to host an event in recognition of The National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women, as part of our ongoing work to support 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-based Violence.
The event will take place at 10 am on December 6 in the Malaspina Theatre lobby. We are honoured to have Elder Geraldine Manson and Elder Stella Johnson offer opening messages and prayers. We will follow with reflections and calls to action from invited guest speakers. We will then have a brief interactive activity followed by a vigil outside in the Jardin Quatorze.
Please join us.
We will reflect and remember, but we must also acknowledge the imperative to take action.
(COVID-19 safety: Masks are required for the indoor portions of the event, and if attendance exceeds 50 people, then the Theatre is required to ask for vaccine passports).
