Dear VIUFA Members,
VIUFA will hold a General Membership Meeting on Wednesday, November 9. At the meeting, the bargaining team will present our proposals for the current round of bargaining for ratification by the members.
Please find the Notice of Meeting here. The meeting will be from 1:00 to 4:00 and will be held simultaneously in person at the Nanaimo, Cowichan and Powell River campuses, with Zoom links between the three locations. The Nanaimo meeting will be in B356/R109. The rooms for the PR and Cowichan meetings are TBD.
In an effort to ensure that the VIUFA proposals remain confidential, the proposal package will not be circulated via email or posted on our VIUFA website. Instead, a hard copy of the proposals that have been reviewed by the Contract Negotiating Committee will be available in the VIUFA office on November 7 (1:00-3:00), November 8 (9:00-12:00 and 1:00-4:00) and November 9 (9:00-12:00). Cowichan and Powell River faculty wishing to make alternate arrangements to preview the proposals should email bargainer@viufa.ca by Friday Nov. 4 at noon.
The proposals in the package are in general language and are NOT prioritized.
