Non-Instructional meeting schedule

Non-Instructional meeting schedule

Hello fellow VIUFA non-instructional members,
I have arranged a schedule of monthly brown bag lunch meetings for VIUFA non-instructional members. The purpose of this meeting is to provide a forum for non-instructional VIUFA members to connect with each other and to have an ‘ear to the ground’ regarding issues of relevance to this sub-grouping of the VIUFA collective membership. As a diverse employee group, it is expected that both common interests and concerns will be identified as well as those particular to a given working group.
All VIUFA non-instructional members are welcome to attend any of these meetings and, I invite at least one member from each non-instructional area to commit to attending on a monthly basis on behalf of your working group. Meetings will be held at the Nanaimo Campus and arrangements will be made for members from regional campuses to join the meeting remotely through Skype or Blackboard Collaborate with advanced notice.
At our first meeting on Wednesday October 28th, some members of our VIUFA bargaining committee will join the meeting to hear concerns and answer any questions related to the recently ratified 5 year collective agreement. For all meetings, please RVSP your interest in attending to me and identify if you will be joining the meeting remotely, preferably at least 4 working days in advance of each meeting. Here is the schedule of meetings which will take place regularly in building 180, room 138 – I look forward to seeing you there!
