Vancouver Island University (VIU) and the Vancouver Island University Faculty Association (VIUFA) have now started collective bargaining to negotiate a new collective agreement for VIUFA. The previous collective agreement expired on March 31, 2025.
As is bargaining practice, while negotiations are underway, VIU and VIUFA commit to good-will engagement in the process. When negotiations are complete and a tentative agreement reached, it will be announced to the VIU community.
