Dear VIUFA members,
The Bargaining Team is pleased to announce that we have reached a tentative agreement with the Employer.
We have prepared a document entitled “Tentative Settlement Information Package” that is available on the VIUFA website. It is password protected; VIUFA members should have received an email with the password. We endeavoured to provide information that is thorough but also user-friendly, and with sufficient detail and explanatory notes that members will have a clear sense of the key changes to the Collective Agreement.
The full Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) is also available, protected with the same password.

The ratification meeting will be held on Monday June 8th from 12-2pm. Given the current ban on gatherings of 50 or more people, the meeting will take place over Zoom; sign-in details are attached. The meeting will begin with a presentation on the settlement, and then the Bargaining Team will take questions. The online ratification vote will open at the end of the meeting and close at 5pm . The Labour Code requires a secret ballot for ratification votes. We will be providing information on the virtual voting process later in the week. Please watch for voting information in your email.
